Combie Ram BOP usually work as the substitute of the Quad Ram BOP. It is designed to give positive protection against blowouts when operating with coiled tubing applications in an H2S environment. It is hydraulically actuated with manually operated auxiliary ram stems to lock the rams in a closed position or to close the actuators in the event of a hydraulic power source failure.This style of BOP comes with hydraulic disassembly of the actuators from the body, providing easy ram monitoring and redress.The standard ram assemblies in the Combine Dual Ram BOP consists of two sets of mating rams:
Shear/Blind Rams : contained in the top of set of ram assembles, these rams are used to shear coiled tubing and seal off wellbore pressure. This ram is a combination of Shear ram and a blind ram.
Slip/Pipe Rams : contained in the bottom set of ram assemblies, these rams are used to seal off well pressure and hold the coiled tubing in place. This ram is a combination of pipe seal ram and a slip ram.
